Thanks for your interest in participating in the Well Designed URLs Initiative.
Before contributing, please respect the following rules or your changes will be reverted and, if you persist, your login and/or your IP address will be banned.

Create an Account
- First, please create an account using your real name.
- I repeat, your account name should be your real name. This is a professional wiki and we want to know who we are collaborating with.
- Fill out your User Page (User pages are in the form [ User:Full_Name ], i.e. [ User:MikeSchinkel ])
- MANDATORY: On your User Page provide contact information (i.e. email like [name(at)domain(dot)com] or similar, or your blog if it has a contact form). Users not willing to leave contact information in some form may be banned.
- Ideally, provide a brief bio indicating your credentials for involvement on your User Page.
- Consider becoming a Signatory.
Before Editing
- Always login (sometimes we forget, but try to remember, otherwise you might get reverted or banned.)
- Review our Conventions in Use.
- Read and respect the How to Edit this Page section on each page (if applicable.)
- Watch the News page so you'll be aware when rules are added or changed
To Participate
- Use Discussion pages to make SHORT comments
- Always "Sign" your discussion comments by using 4 tildes (i.e. ~~~~)
- If the discussions get long or threaded at all, Take to the mailing list
- Note you are taking it to the list on the Discussion page,
- Use the subject of the wiki page as part of the subject of the email (embellishing as needed), and
- Copy the URL and comments from the discussion page into your email.
- Or: Just Discuss on the the mailing list from the start.
