Hello and welcome to the wiki for The Well Designed URLs Initiative, a community project to provide patterns and advocate best practices for User-centered URL Design and further to raise awareness of the importance of URL design, especially among providers of server software websites hosting companies, and web application development tools vendors.

- URI Templates - (2006-Oct-28) Take a look at this draft proposal that will hopefully become an IETF Standard. This solves a lot of problems with the oft misunderstood URI Opacity Axiom. If you are a vendor, this draft proposal definitely deserves your support!
